compartmentalizing
i’ll mix my food on my plate, but i have always been more comfortable with keeping my varied projects in separate containers. when i started this blog, it seemed the title was broad enough to umbrella everything a dabbler-girl such as myself could get herself into.
and it is.
but i know than when i enjoy another blog for the - oh, let’s say needle arts content - i feel a bit let down when i drop in and find pictures of what they had for breakfast. so, empathetically projecting that to everyone out there, i have created another blog to contain tales and travails of my stitching.
here’s my plan:
here i will write and wruminate and wreflect on the chewy intangibles of life.
there i will stitch my ponderings.
here i will untangle with words.
there i will untangle with needles.
here i will remember with (digital) ink.
there i will remember with thread.
here i will dance in sentences or fragments thereof.
there i will dance in bits of cloth.
in other words:
LifeInTheAlong.com will be my repository for perambulatory ruminations.
Autoquiltography.com will be my repository for my life in stitches.
drop by either place any time and join in the conversation.

ok!
Think you are going to enjoy keeping the two blogs. In addition to keeping the stitching “pristine” and of itself, it will probably allow you to take more brakes off with this blog as well. That’s how it’s been for me and I can’t imagine why I resisted the idea for so long. It isn’t “more work” at all - it’s just sensible.
well, jude. glad you found your way over to autoquiltography.com where we speak stitching.
acey, you know you are the inspiration and impetus for this compartmentalizing! and you make a very good point - am gonna’ change the subtitle right now to “occasional perambulatory ruminations.” takes the pressure off. i feel better already.
Ah yes, so much to write about it’s hard to stay focused on one topic. It look like you have a great plan and I wish you all the best. I found blogs tend to have a life of their own. They are constantly in need of refinement. Yet, how fun it is to see what everyone is up to…
ok, too. hard to separate the two, sometimes…
