so we went out this morning, phoebe and i, in search of 2 more perfect fallen sticks for my 2 unadorned windows in j’underneath. we walked down to our neighbor’s house, and phoebe, a welsh corgi (a herder breed by nature) apparently went to the corgi school that taught herding by leading:

while i can’t tell you what all phoebe smelled (but there were apparently smells in abundance), i can (and will) share some of the delicious things i saw . . .
ferns that are immune to seasonal affective disorder. tenacious ferns determined to stay green whatever the temperature:

logs resting under a blanket of moss (no snoring was heard):

trees helping trees that stumbled. catching them on their way down. holding them, supporting them.
(okay, it’s true, i’m wont to personify on occasion. at least that’s what some would call it. me, i prefer words like “natural visual metaphors” and “imagination”, but whatever.)

i did find 2 branches that will possibly be adopted soon, and several fun rock pictures.
for a book i’m working on.
stay tuned.
all in all, it was a fun outing. so says me, and so shows phoebe.

and now it’s back to blognesting for me and more naptime for the phoebes.
all is possible. all is well.
