repository for the occasional perambulatory rumination

Well, hello again. Welcome to my new web nest! My boy suggested that I move my blog from a free hosted site to my very own site - one that I have to pay for and tend to. It’s kinda’ like the difference between renting, where the owner fixes things when they wind up needing repair and owning your own home where you have to fix every little thing yourself. Or get somebody to do it and pay them with a check or a meal.

Okay, not the best analogy, but the main thing is: I’ve moved. And though there were moments that I considered adding his name to the cusswords list, all in all I’m glad I listen to my boy Kipp, and I sure do appreciate his help getting everything ready.

During the move, I redecorated a little bit. Spent a good bit of time sifting through stuff, and not only did I find the picture you see at the top of the first page - the picture that was on my Very First Blog, the picture I thought was lost forEVER - I found this little jewel from when I visited Kipp way out in LA last June:

Tree Feet

We went out for a walk, Kipp and me, and those of you who know me, know how I’m always seeing things not exactly as they are. Well, I see them as they are, but I also see things as ways they could be. In other words, I see things that aren’t necessarily there. Well, anyway. So there we were, walking along, me wearing my camera as jewelry, when I spied these tree roots that for the life of me look like 2 feet. Isn’t that the cutest thing?

Stay tuned for more things I discovered along the way to a new, improved web nest. Till then, don’t be ordinary.
